    Historically, movie tie-in games were terrible due to lack of support and vision from financiers. As gaming became big business, movie licenses went to better studios, resulting in higher-quality games. While there are still bad movie games, overall there's a positive trend towards better adaptations in both gaming and movies. I love movies, and I love games. So you'd think I'd love games that are based on movie licenses.

    I don't buy new TVs or monitors often, but when I do I like to put them through their paces like anyone else. For me, the best way to do this is watching a few of my favorite movies that pose one or another visual challenge. This isn't just great because it helps me figure out how to tune my TV to my liking, it's also a great excuse to watch some movies. While the exact list changes from time to time, these are the titles most likely to be played first on any new screen I get.

    GPT-4o image generation can create flawless photos. Colorization results are impressive but new are entirely images, not true colorizations. Real colorization preserves history, while AI-generated colorization falls short. DALL-E has been replaced by a new image-generation engine under GPT-4o, and boy is it a big jump. There seems to be little this new image generation tech can't do, but what about adding color to old black and white photos?
