Afternoon highs should run into the low 90s as heat builds in this weekend After a stormy Wednesday night that brought some gusty winds and pockets of heavy rain, Thursday offered a bit of a breather—but not a total break. A few scattered showers and storms lingered through the day as a slow-moving front crept across the region. Friday saw a few scattered downpours, and while not everyone got wet, those who did may have experienced a brief tropical-style drenching.
