Ammonia, a virulence factor, has emerged as a significant constraint that impedes the growth and development of aquatic organisms. In aquaculture, elevated ammonia nitrogen levels in water have become a pressing environmental challenge, prompting concerns regarding disease outbreaks and compromised production outcomes. Ammonia originates from agricultural wastewater discharge, protein-rich feed residues, and animal excrements (Han et al., 2020; Shah et al., 2021).
