Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop artist turned mogul who was once the picture of Black male excellence, will face a jury next week on allegations that he used his money and power to commit sex trafficking and other crimes. Federal prosecutors in Manhattan indicted Combs on one count of racketeering conspiracy, one count of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and one count of transportation to engage in prostitution in September 2024.

トランプ大統領とメディア経営者の風刺漫画が掲載されなかったことでワシントン・ポストを辞職した風刺漫画家のアン・テルナエス氏が、ピューリッツァー賞を受賞した。 テルナエス氏が受賞したのはイラスト報道と解説部門で、「熟練さと創造力、そして報道機関を17年で去ることとなった恐れを知らぬ姿勢で、権力者や組織に対する鋭い風刺を届けた」と功績を称えられている。 テルナエス氏は2008年にワシントン・ポストに入社し、風刺漫画をめぐる意見の対立で2025年1月に辞職した。 辞職を発表した際に、経緯をサブスタックで次のように説明している。 「これまで、編集側から漫画に対するフィードバックをもらったり、建設的な議論をしたりしてきました。意見の相違が起きたこともあります。しかし、ペンを向けた相手が理由で漫画がボツになったことは一度もありませんでした。今回までは」 「もちろん、スケッチの段階で却下されたり、修正を求められたりしたことはありました。しかし風刺画になくてはならない視点が理由だったことは一度もありませんでした。これは状況を大きく変える出来事です……報道の自由にとって危険なことです」...
