This is in preparation for the inaugural Hajj flight scheduled for Friday, from Owerri, Imo State capital. Ahead of the inaugural flight on Friday (tomorrow), the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s Advance Team has held a preparatory meeting with airport stakeholders at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, the Imo State capital. The meeting involved the Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, and Nigeria Police. Nigeria’s advance team for this year’s Hajj has arrived at the King AbdulAziz Airport in Madina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This was contained in a report sent by Suwaiba Ahmed, from Madinatul Munawwara, on Tuesday. The team of 36 staff and medical personnel, according to Ahmed, is headed by Deputy Coordinator Makkah, Alhaji Alidu Shuti, comprising different committees such as: Accommodation, Feeding, Medical, National Reception Team, Passport Management, E-Track, Hijira, Tafweej and Media.
