TPR Motorsport driver Mike Halder won both TCR Spain races at Valencia and has emerged as the driver to beat as the season reaches its half point. “The final race was tough, as Piirimagi pushed a lot behind me, he had a lot of pace, so I needed to push the whole race,” the German driver told TouringCarTimes. Halder started from seventh on the grid for Race 2, but had already managed snatch the lead after the first few corners of the race.

Cyan Racing driver Yann Ehrlacher was beaming after emerging as the most successful driver of the second FIA TCR World Tour race weekend of 2025 in Valencia, with the Frenchman now leading the drivers’ standings. “It has been a long time since I had a weekend like this and getting the pole position by a few hundredths was like the cherry on the cake,” Ehrlacher told TouringCarTimes.

Esteban Guerrieri was upbeat after the second round of the FIA TCR World Tour in Spain, with the GOAT Racing Honda driver scoring well despite carrying the highest compensation weight of 40 kilos. “The weekend went from less to more and, all-in-all, very positive,” Guerrieri told TouringCarTimes. “With the 40 kilos we are carrying we started on Friday and I saw things a bit uphill.”Guerrieri praised his team to continuously working hard to improve the car throughout the weekend.

BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse driver Mikel Azcona did not have the weekend he hoped for during his home round of the FIA TCR World Tour in Valencia, with the Spaniard stating that he was struggling with engine performance issues. “This weekend it was very difficult fighting against the rest,” Azcona told TouringCarTimes. “In Free Practice it seemed we had good performance, a good balance with the car, also being fastest in the FP1. Maybe the temperatures weren’t so high as on Saturday and Sunday.

Yann Ehrlacher headed home team-mate Santiago Urrutia to a Lynk & Co Cyan Racing 1-2 in the third and final FIA TCR World Tour race of the race weekend at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia. The intra-team fight between the two continued from Race 1 as pole-sitter Ehrlacher defended the inside at the start from team-mate Urrutia, with Hyundai’s Néstor Girolami right behind in third place.
