Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been a huge fan of Sanrio. My childhood was filled with a variety of merch, mostly pertaining to Hello Kitty, even though now I would say I prefer My Melody. For those who may not know what I’m talking about, Sanrio is a Japanese company that designs and produces products that focus on Japanese pop culture, and Hello Kitty and My Melody are just two examples of characters that Sanrio has created and popularized.

Ulta Beauty’s revamp of 21 Days of Beauty has stirred lots of commotion amongst the beauty community recently. If you didn’t know, the sale consists of new releases each day, most products earning a 50% off price tag. Every sale only lasts one day, and customers usually know what the sale consists of before they’re even released. This time around though, Ulta decided to withhold the information due to their competitor, Sephora, always price-matching their products on the same day.

The Hunger Games franchise is based on a dystopian future where kids aged 12-18 are forced to fight for their lives in an arena for the entertainment of others. This world is divided into separate districts each representing a certain resource, and the center of all these districts is the Capitol which holds the most power in the system.

So truthfully, I was inspired to write this article based off of Nina Dobrev’s character in the movie, “Love Hard” (even though I started the movie months ago and never finished it). Still, even after watching for about 20 minutes, I came to realize that she and I share the same dilemmas. For those who are unaware, she’s a dating columnist who tells readers about her unfortunate online dating experiences.
