If you’ve been away for a while, you might not recognize Catawba County. Look around Hickory and see five-story apartment buildings. The Ladies Guild of St. Joseph’s Church in Newton has a winning plan for Lent this year. Every four years, the first Tuesday in November is my Super Bowl and the World Series rolled into one. And now, former President Donald Trump is about to become the second chief executive to serve two non-consecutive terms.
