I didn't think I was a safari girl. The idea of sitting in an open jeep in the ungodly morning hours of January — with the chill in the air causing the cheeks to freeze and displacing those freshly tousled hair from last evening, only to get tossed around in a jeep on a rocky, dusty terrain — seemed less than ideal. I don't know if it's the first streak of sunshine piercing through the mighty Sal and Shisham trees or those majestic creatures appearing out of thin air, but something softened me.
