OLTON, Texas— The City of Olton rescinded its Boil Water notice Friday morning. On Wednesday, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Olton to issue a notice to inform customers on the conditions of its public water systems. The press release assured that necessary corrective actions have been taken to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption.

AbstractIn causal mediation analyses, of interest are the direct or indirect pathways from exposure to an outcome variable. For observation studies, massive baseline characteristics are collected as potential confounders to mitigate selection bias, possibly approaching or exceeding the sample size. Accordingly, flexible machine learning approaches are promising in filtering a subset of relevant confounders, along with estimation using the efficient influence function to avoid overfitting.
