HELL'S KITCHEN, Manhattan (WABC) -- Actress Michelle Trachtenberg was found dead in her New York City apartment at the age of 39 on Wednesday morning. Police responded to a 911 call shortly after 8 a.m. at a 51-story luxury apartment tower in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood where officers found Trachtenberg "unconscious and unresponsive," according to an NYPD statement. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

BELLEROSE, Queens (WABC) -- Two teens in Queens are being hailed as heroes and were recognized by the state for their actions to help a stranger in need. Colin Winn and Christian Fiorillo -- students at St. Gregory's School -- were handed official citations of honor by the New York State Assembly for rushing to 76-year-old Janet Miranda after she tripped on the sidewalk, fell, dislocated her shoulder and broke her nose. "They went into action," said Miranda.
