    IT’S all systems go for Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter’s annual Literary Festival which runs from Thursday, October 17 until Sunday, October 20. One of the event organisers, Donnan Harvey, said the event promises to be bigger and better than ever’. He said the festival has grown year-on-year, and if it keeps moving in the right direction it could soon be one of the top literary festivals in the country.

    SCOIL Náisiúnta an Bhreacaigh in Ardara has been given permission to proceed to the tender stage with its plans for an extension. The school received the green light to build a special class for children with special education needs, a soft/hard play area, a sensory garden and six parking spaces under the Department of Education’s Additional School Accommodation Scheme.

    LETTERKENNY Music and Drama Group will present something new to the An Grianán Theatre stage tonight. They’ll perform three short one-act plays on Saturday, October 12 at 8pm, giving the audience three very different plays for the price of one. These one-act plays have three different casts, with three different directors, making for a night of great entertainment, comedy, and drama. First up is ‘Towpath’, directed by Mary Lane, hot on the heels of her direction of the amazing ‘Rent” in August.
