The Norman North girls waited almost an entire half before it finally broke through for its first goal in its playoff opener. Facing Westmoore on Friday night at home in the second round, it only took 10 minutes before the Timberwolves found the back of the net. It didn’t take much longer for them to add to their lead and they took a commanding 3-0 lead early in the second half.

For the second game in a row, Oklahoma took an early two-run lead over Kentucky. Once again it was Easton Carmichael getting the scoring started with an RBI single before the Wildcats got their first out. Jaxon Willits grounded out to second base to take a 2-0 lead. But for the second game in a row, the Wildcats responded with a big inning to put the Sooners in a hole it couldn’t climb out of. OU starter Cade Crossland walked two batters and hit another to load up the bases with one out.

The championship game between Oklahoma and Texas A&M, which was moved rescheduled and delayed twice on Saturday in an attempt to avoid inclement weather, was officially canceled.

In the 27-year history of the Southeastern Conference Tournament no team had ever overcome a five-run deficit to win. It also never included Oklahoma before this year either. Through two and a half innings the Sooners trailed No. 5-seed Arkansas 6-1. kAmu:G6 9@>6 CF?D =2E6C[ E96 E@A\D66565 $@@?6CD D64FC65 E96:C DA@E :?
