A STATE Memorial will be held for Elliot McAdam AM, who passed away earlier this month. The former Member for Barkly has been remembered as a tireless advocate for his region and its people, especially women and children, and always put their rights and wellbeing first. Born in the Territory town of Elliott, Mr McAdam spent his younger years in South Australia before returning to the Barkly as the General Manager of the Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation.
