WASHINGTON, D.C. (Valley News Live) - A total of 282 officers who died in the line of duty were added to the National Law Enforcement Officer Memorial tonight, May 13, 2024. Among those 282 names were three North Dakota names: Jake Wallin, Paul Martin, and Charles McCarthy. Officer Jake Wallin was a Fargo Police Officer who was shot and killed during the ambush on July 14, 2023.
