Maruszczak spoke on the matter during a school committee meeting held on April 30. Dr. Maruszczak said the state House Ways and Means Committee released its $61 billion budget in mid-April.

The Sandwich School District is actively investigating a universal communication tool known as ParentSquare. During the school committee meeting on Wednesday, April 30, Superintendent Joseph P. Grade point averages (GPAs) for Sandwich Middle High School students will be adjusted to align with the Massachusetts State College Recalculation Scale come next school year. Sandwich Middle High School Principal Jeanne Nelson spoke on the topic during a school committee meeting on Wednesday, April 30. Ms. Nelson said that the change came from discussions during school council meetings. Ms. Nelson said that the school council is made up of students, teachers, administrators and parents.

Unofficial Sandwich election results came in shortly before 9 PM last night on Election Day,, Thursday, May 8 with most of the town's voters showing up in person to cast their ballots. For the one-year term select board seat, David J. Sampson took the lead with 657 votes. Gene J. Parini received 641 votes and Dennis E. Newman received 328 votes. Out of the two seats on the school committee, incumbent Danielle M. Binienda won with 1,141 votes followed by Alexis M. Higgins with 669 votes.
