On Monday night, Jordan Hobbs was selected No. 34 overall by the Seattle Storm in the WNBA draft. Hobbs’ selection makes her the ninth WNBA draftee for the Michigan women’s basketball team, and the third in the last four years. The No. 6 seed Michigan women’s basketball team and No. 11 Iowa State operate as opposite as can be. The Cyclones revolve around All-American center Audi Crooks, operating with meticulous inside-out basketball. The Wolverines work through all five guards on the floor and run teams out of the gym. But in the fourth quarter, the Wolverines’ (23-10) starting weapons cut through Iowa State’s (23-12) defense late in the game to secure a 80-74 win and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
