This week’s Google economic development deal totals over $18 million for the county, being invested back into the community. Botetourt County Administrator Gary Larrowe says Google actually encouraged the county to reinvest in the community, something they were already planning to do. That shared goal led to a tri-party agreement between the Board of Supervisors, Google, and the Economic Development Authority.

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - About 25% of anxiety increases during extreme weather, according to Thriveworks, a mental health provider offering in-person and online therapy services in Roanoke. Mental Health Expert Holly Humphreys says this week she’s already seen an increase with her clients, saying the heat has thrown people out of their regular routine. She says the heat can also be a trigger to previous trauma from a traumatic event like, flooding, a tornado, or hurricane.
