At first glance, this laid-back restaurant may seem confusing. Why are tinga chicken nachos sharing menu space with New Mexico pork verde, fried catfish, and a shrimp po’boy? But Blue Corn Harvest’s strong suit is experimenting with the sheer scale of Texas influences. Their dinner menu is solid, but the restaurant’s massive brunch plates like jalapeno cheddar biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict with steak and chipotle hollandaise, and “Texas-sized” chicken and waffles are what sets this place apart.

Whether you’re looking for a chill weeknight meal, a lively Happy Hour with friends, or a memorable dinner date, this Austin restaurant has expanded its irreverent takes on Asian dishes and Southern techniques into Cedar Park. If you’re looking for the best possible deal, head to Sweetwater during the day.

Austinites who fight the brutal I-35 traffic to drive to San Antonio deserved to reward themselves with a visit to Taco Palenque. If you think this fast food chain is just another Taco Cabana or Taco Bell, well, you're wrong. Taco Palenque serves tightly rolled tacos that are easy to hold in one hand while maneuvering your steering wheel with the other, and if you order just one thing at this drive-thru window, make it a Pirata.

I’m so proud of and impressed by Joe Biden today. Contrary to what a lot of folks seem to believe, what he did was not an easy thing for a lifelong politician. But he was willing to put country before ego and give Democrats the best chance to succeed. He’s a true statesman.
