Set your alarm clocks because a new breakfast spot is headed to Vista soon. Brunch Point is expected to debut in Vista’s Palomar Park shopping center. Owner Brian Song tells What Now San Diego this is the debut location of Brunch Point but they look forward to expanding the concept in the future. Song and partners also own Hoorah Cafe & Bar in Rancho Bernardo.

Nibble Chocolate announced via social media that they have the keys in hand to their new factory space. A recent permit filing places the handcrafted chocolate company in its new digs in Pacific Beach. Established in 2013 by founders David and Sandra Mejia, Nibble Chocolate is handcrafted in small batches from single-origin organic cocoa beans.

Earlier this summer, Juice It Up! announced it signed a multi-unit development agreement with a Southern California-based group to grow the brand in San Diego. According to a recent permit filing, the juice chain will place its next storefront at the base of the Hanover residential tower on the edge of Downtown and Little Italy. Franchisee Joe Harry and his group HGW Capital LLC holds the exclusive rights to grow Juice It Up! in the San Diego market.

Sunny Grove Brewing announced today in its Instagram Stories that big news is coming soon. The Lemon Grove-based craft brewery has signed a lease, dated today, on its debut site. Last year,What Now San Diego reported that Sunny Grove Brewing would debut in a 2,100-square-foot space on Broadway. The site also came complete with an additional 2,100 square feet of outdoor patio space to offer guests.

Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina announced the first of four new dining concepts as part of their planned multi-million dollar update. Construction has begun on Rumorosa, the latest dining destination for the waterfront hotel. Passports are not required, as Rumorosa plans to bring Baja just a little closer to San Diego. Executive Chef Marcos Seville will blend classic Mexican cuisine with uniquely SoCal options.

Jimmy John’s Sandwiches continues its fast growth across San Diego County with another outpost planned in Chula Vista next. According to a recent permit filing, Jimmy John’s will add a storefront next to Dunkin’ at Eastlake Village Center South. Last year, What Now San Diego reported that local franchisee, Tali Burton, had purchased the exclusive rights to grow Jimmy John’s Sandwiches in San Diego with a 27-unit deal.

Players Sports Bar will reunite with the Kearny Mesa neighborhood as it plans to place its third location in San Diego. A recent filing with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control places Players in the space formerly occupied by Elbow Room. Owner Michael Pasulka tells What Now San Diego he’s been looking for the right space to bring the bar back since closing an outpost of Players Sports Bar on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard which served the community for 14 years.

A recent permit filing places the cafe in La Jolla’s International Shops, replacing Elixir Juice. Owners Kelsey and Gene Padigos currently operate two Subterranean Coffee locations: a homey, community-focused coffee shop in North Park, and a quick neighborhood stop for coffee and acai bowls in South Park.

Fuego Sushi looks to be setting up its first location in Old Town. Eater reports the specialty caterer will soon take over a space formerly occupied by Tuetano Taqueria in Old Town Urban Market. Based in Chula Vista, Fuego Sushi was created by Chef Isaac Fernandez and has operated as a catering business serving private parties and corporate events since 2020.
