Juan Agosto left his cherished Jeep with a mechanic he found on social media and got stuck with a $575 bill. When his car broke down in December 2023, Agosto handed it over to Carlos Mireles, a mechanic located on Chippewa Boulevard in northwest Harris County, Texas.

FUMING drivers have been slammed with $50 tickets thanks to a new parking rule at Costco. Drivers had no idea about the new rule until they noticed sneaky slips on their cars. Over 30 drivers found parking tickets on their vehicles in the new Costco lot on South Kanner Highway, according to Treasure Coast Newspapers. A WOMAN cautioned drivers about a sneaky auto scam that cost her hundreds of dollars in damages. When the driver finally got her car back, it was missing three parts. On April 30, a suspicious man was caught circling the woman's car outside her house on Reseda Boulevard in Tarzana at 2 a.m., as reported by a California local news outlet, KTLA. The victim's security camera captured the entire ordeal on tape. The scammer pretended to be a tow truck driver who had come to repossess her vehicle.

A DRIVER was asked to cover outstanding payments for two vehicles after doing business with a dealership. The auto shop is now being accused of taking driver payments without settling existing loans. The driver, Joy Chew, purchased a vehicle from Kelly Grimsley Auto on 8th Street at the beginning of the year, trading in her previous car. "I traded in my previous vehicle, which they’ve now sold, and then I started getting past-due notices from my bank," Chew told a local Texas news outlet, KWES-TV.
