Eutelsat has tapped Orange's Jean-François Fallacher to replace its current CEO Eva Berneke, as the company faces financial challenges and tough competition from Starlink. Eutelsat CEO Eva Berneke is being replaced by Jean-Fraçois Fallacher, the France-based satellite company announced on Monday. When he takes over the company at the beginning of June, Fallacher will have to deal with a tough financial situation as well as criticism of the group's activities in Russia.

Satellite communications company SES announced April 30 that it will acquire its competitor Intelsat, saying it will pay $3.1 billion to buy 100% of equity in the latter company. This implies an enterprise value of $5 billion for Intelsat. SES has said it will finance the transaction from existing cash and equivalents as well as fresh debt and contingent value rights based on the company’s share of potential compensation for usage rights to C-band spectrum in the US (more on that later).
