The matter involving Colton David Chaulk, 30, was called in provincial court in Charlottetown on April 23. At that court appearance, Chaulk’s legal-aid lawyer, Conor Mullin, told the court that his client was transferring the charge to Newfoundland.

Matthew Alan Craswell, 40, of Cornwall, appeared in P.E.I. Supreme Court on April 29 and pleaded guilty to sexual interference and possession, distribution and making child pornography. A charge of indictable sexual assault was stayed by Crown attorney Chris White. A publication ban is in place regarding information that could identify the victims.
