1 Towards a new classification of atrial fibrillation detected after a stroke or a transient ischaemic attack. Artificial intelligence (AI) will probably have a role in the detection of atrial fibrillation and the understanding of atrial fibrillation-associated risk of ischaemic stroke in future medicine. The results of the AI models described by Siontis and colleagues support this view and we congratulate them for their innovative approach.

In a recent CMAJ Practice article, Causer and colleagues1 described a young woman who presented with recurrent seizures and headache at 7 days postpartum. They provided a differential diagnosis for seizures in that setting, highlighting the need to consider general causes, as well as pregnancy-specific diagnoses.
