Around 1,500 Tata steelworkers based in Port Talbot and Newport Llanwen in South Wales will begin a continuous overtime ban and “work to rule” - meaning refusing to do work that is optional in their contracts. It is the first time in 40 years that there has been industrial action in the UK steel industry. Unite union said the industrial action will severely disrupt and delay Tata’s operations and order book.

Campaigners are calling for urgent action from the Government to implement regulations on e-bikes, e-scooters and the batteries and chargers sold with them. Figures obtained by GB News show there have been 1,076 incidents, 430 injuries and 14 deaths caused by Lithium battery fires. 47 out of 49 fire brigades responded, two do not have the capabilities to currently record the data requested.

Former parliamentary researcher Christopher Cash, 29, from Whitechapel in east London, alongside Christopher Berry, 32, from Witney in Oxfordshire, were charged under the Official Secrets Act after a counterterrorism investigation. The two men appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday but were not required to enter any pleas to the charge. Cash and Berry are accused to being in contact with each other and an individual believed to be a Chinese intelligence agent.
