Challenging to decideThe participants found it hard to decide whether valve replacement in case of comorbid dementia should be offered. They struggled to know what they would have wanted if they had dementia, worrying that symptoms from the valve might increase over time. Several expressed that if the patient had severe symptoms from the valve, they would deem it right to change the heart valve, even if it meant that one would live longer with dementia.

AbstractBackground A growing body of evidence suggests inequitable access to disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) for multiple sclerosis (MS) in publicly funded healthcare systems. This retrospective study examined the impact of ethnicity and deprivation on the access to DMTs.Methods All adults diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS between 2010 and 2020 were included.
