The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) has outlined different private financing options to bring the project forward, including a semi-private option that would see its total anticipated cost increase to £10.2bn. A decision on whether to grant a development consent order (DCO) for the major road and tunnel scheme between Kent and Essex is still pending, with a deadline of 23 May for the government’s decision.
