Featuring the best bright colours of the 60s, Matthew McVeigh gives us a bright and beautiful set, toning beautifully with the gorgeous bigger and brighter than life wigs and costumes designed by Producer Marina Del Basso.

    Eleven-year-old Aurelia Turley brings high energy and indefatigable spirit to the title role, leading a troupe of terrifically talented orphans that are cuter than kittens. Aurelia shares her role with Layla May Walker, and depending on the performance you attend, you may see a different cast of orphans. Among the excellently performing youngsters, Violette Russo consistently steals scenes as little Molly, Indi Phimster is a standout Duffy and Allegra Ong lovely as Kate.

    Primadonna Productions’ The Producers was a clean, slick, and well-performed production that deserved a longer run. Playing to big audiences at the 800 seat Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, this was a production with strong production values that felt worthy of this beautiful venue. Looking fabulous with excellent costumes from Carole Dhu and cast, simple but effective sets - predominantly using drops and projections and strong lighting choices, served the show well.
