A sacred fire has been lit outside the Manitoba Legislature in the Anishinaabe tradition following the passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair Monday morning. Flags are also flying at half mast in his honour. Sinclair died in Winnipeg surrounded by family. He was 73. His family issued a statement on his passing this morning and welcomed everyone to visit his sacred fire to make an offering of tobacco and send him best wishes.
