The Quail Hollow Club has become a since familiar sight to golf fans as it continues to host big events, from the PGA TOUR's Wells Fargo Championship to the 2017 PGA Championship, 2022 Presidents Cup and the upcoming 2025 PGA Championship. For the most part, Quail Hollow is very much in the mold of typical modern championship layouts: large in scale, broad-shouldered and long, with narrow fairways, plenty of water, greens that accommodate a good variety of hole locations and pearly white bunkers.

Remember when big-screen TVs came out? "It'll be like they're playing right in your very own home," ads liked to say. DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A sense of place is a precious commodity at resorts. Sprawling, self-contained retreats have their appeal, but they often feel like they exist in usually pleasant but somewhat generic locales. “You’ll never have to leave the resort” might be alright for a couple of days, but it can also stir visions of The Eagles’ “Hotel California.”Places like The Seagate, by contrast, exceed expectations by bringing their guests up close and personal with their surrounds.

77-78 saw me miss match play by 5 shots in the state Mid-Am this year. Time to reach into the @GOLFPASS archives for some ideas to help me drive the ball straighter. The @fsga put on a fantastic event as always, and Hawk’s Nest was in perfect shape. https://t.co/spbJ2cdumP
