MURRAY, Utah, May 24, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Police investigators are reaching out for help in solving the cold case disappearance of Linda Peterson, a Murray woman who vanished nearly 47 years ago. Murray police detectives are spearheading the effort, hoping to jog the memory of anyone who might have even slightest information about the case. “Linda Peterson went missing on September 16, 1978,” says a new flier released on social by Murray PD.

NORTH OGDEN, Utah, May 16, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) —¬† A fire in the middle of a multi-city commercial district at 2700 North on US 89 kept firefighters busy for nearly four hours Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. The blaze, which was captured on video by Devin Holland, broke out just after 9 p.m. drawing hundreds of commentators online, many witnesses reporting explosions initially. One resident of a nearby trailer park said his mobile home was shaken by a blast from the fire scene.

SANDY, Utah, May 15, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for the public’s help locating the suspect in an assault in Sandy on an 87-year-old man. “Sandy Police are looking for a suspect and vehicle involved in an aggravate assault against an 87-year-old man in the area of 8300 S Terrace Dr. on May 9 around 11:30 a.m.” the department said.in releasing photos of the alleged assailant and his vehicle.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, May 4, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Three people were sent to the hospital after a two-car crash that set one of the vehicles on fire. Emergency units were dispatched to the wreck on State Route 59 near mile marker 12 shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, according to Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue District.
