About a thousand Cochranites came out to walk "The Way of Cross" in downtown Cochrane on Good Friday, April 8. The Way of the Cross commemorates the last day of Jesus' life by walking through 12 stations which mark significant biblical events leading up to his ultimate crucifixion and death. At each station those who came were asked to pause and pray, followed by a collective hymn as they walked to the next station.

Cochrane council has approved funding for the third phase of James Walker Trail through debt financing of $17.89 million. The money will be paid back over 20 years through the application of future offsite levies from adjacent areas as development surrounding the road upgrade fills in. The project will be completed in two sections. The Town of Cochrane will begin construction on its 1.5 km portion in May 2025, with work expected to extend over two construction seasons.

The Foothills Art Club held its 2025 Spring Art Show and Sale on Saturday, April 12 at St. Andrew's United Church. About 200 kids with their families came out on Saturday, April 12 to the annual RockHaven Church Easter Egg Hunt at Heartland Park. The park was divided up into different age group areas this year to ensure every kid had an equal shot at getting their share of chocolate eggs. The event also featured free hot chocolate and gift bags, which could substitute for egg carriers if needed, ensuring everyone had a good time.
