It has taken over motor auction firm Aston Barclay, which is the UK's third largest auction group after BCA and Cox Automotive's Manheim. The takeover, which includes Aston Barclay's subsidiary The Car Buying Group which is a smaller rival to WeBuyAnyCar, is Constellation's first major deal since 2022 when it bought Marshall.

Martin Reay has been appointed to Hendy's operations board in the newly created role of operations finance director. Reporting to chief finance officer Jonathan Moritz, Reay will reinforce the finance function at Hendy and ensure necessary resources are available to support its growing motor retail operations.

Sillars has been announced as the IMI's acting chief executive from the start of next month as its executive chair of the board, Kevin Finn, steps down from his role. Finn became executive chair last year following the retirement of Steve Nash, who had been the IMI's chief executive since 2013.

Hull Crown Court heard that Thomas Moulds left his workmate terrified after he threatened him with a blade at their workplace and later messaged him to say he was "a dead man".
