Arsenal defender Laia Codina has confirmed on her Instagram stories that she is set to miss the Euros with Spain having undergone surgery. The centre-half has struggled with a muscular injury since the end of February and experienced a few abortive comebacks. No other first team squad members (except Chloe Kelly) are out of contract as we reported last month. Chloe Kelly joined the club on loan from Manchester City in January and that deal expires on June 30.

When Jonas Eidevall resigned as the Head Coach of Arsenal Women in October, it is not my opinion that Arsenal were in disarray. Clearly, the relationship between the coach and the supporters was broken, which he would admit shortly after his resignation. There were certainly tactical issues and it had become clear that his message with the players had become lost.
