The Melbourne Beach Orioles won their fourth title in as many years in the winter session of the Brevard Super Senior Softball League in Palm Bay at Liberty Park by going 19-1. The 55+ Oriole team was led by Jim Keller and Richard Garrity, who hit .821 and .810 respectively. Six other Oriole players hit over .700 for the season: Rob Milnor, Robert Leger, Bill Mueller, Scott Schoenly, Eddie Gonzales and Victor Cordero. Robert Leger and Rob Milnor each hit seven Home Runs during the regular season.

This will be the second year in a row the Gators host their spring scrimmage on a Saturday after head coach Billy Napier opened his tenure by scheduling the game on Thursdays. Holding the game on Thursday night was done in an effort to get recruiting prospects to attend given competing programs typically hold their games Saturday.
