    Birmingham Legion announced today the signing of 28-year-old forward Sebastian Saucedo. The Mexican-American winger joins after a decade-long career spent primarily in Major League Soccer and Mexico’s Liga MX. Saucedo last played senior soccer for Mexican side FC Juarez side in February 2024. He made two more appearance for their U23 side in March of the same year before becoming a free agent. He has been training with Legion the past few weeks as he looked to earn a contract.

    KD’s Fine Meats, a longtime butcher shop in Alabaster, reopened last week after significant delays. The shop was only supposed to close one month as it changed location, but has instead been shut since December. KD’s Fine Meats announced December 6 through their Facebook page that the next week would be their last at their former Highway 119 shop. With a close date of December 13, the store claimed in the same announcement that it would reopen at its new location by the end of January.
