I’m talking about the president’s Easter Declaration and feel utterly conflicted about it. I want everyone — including the president — to believe in Jesus. I also think it is admirable when Christians are public about their faith. If a president is a believer, I’m thankful if he uses the platform, much as I am when a Christian athlete will at a moment of achievement.

One word: hardware. Telling in many of the comments about my piece was a repeated refrain, “Apple’s software keeps getting worse, but I can’t imagine going through the downgrade to other hardware.” Apple knows how to turn out very good quality piece of hardware and, for many purposes, stands alone.

On March 27, 2025, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed a lawsuit and proposed settlement order resolving claims against Cleo AI, a fintech that operates a personal finance mobile banking application through which it offers consumers instant or same-day cash advances. The FTC alleges that Cleo deceived consumers about how much money they could get and how fast that money could be available, and that Cleo made it difficult for consumers to cancel its subscription service.

Butler | Posted at 5:35 PMThe same year Apple launched the iPhone, it unveiled a massive upgrade to Mac OS X known as Leopard, sporting “300 New Features.” Two years later, it did something almost unheard of: it released Snow Leopard, an upgrade all about how little it added and how much it took away. Apple needs to make it snow again. Snow Leopard did what it was made to do. It was one of the most solid software releases Apple ever put out.
