Defending marriage these days means making some enemies. When economist Melissa Kearney published a book arguing that all economic data demonstrate that marriage is good for children, she was attacked consistently by the liberal commentariat.

President Donald Trump’s global tariffs, ranging from 10% to 50%, reeked of amateurism. The White House called them “reciprocal tariffs,” but they were nothing of the sort.
