The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 has concluded in Basel, and immediately afterward the European Broadcasting Union released the complete standings from both semi-finals. In the first semi-final, held on May 13, ten acts advanced. Ukraine’s Ziferblat topped the field with 137 points, followed by Albania’s Shkodra Elektronike on 122 and the Netherlands’ Claude on 121.

The first semi-final of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest captivated audiences as 15 performers vied for a spot in Saturday’s grand final. Hosted by Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studder, the event took place at the St. Jakobshalle, marking the third Eurovision held in Switzerland. For the second time in the semi-finals, automatic qualifiers performed in the semifinal. This also marked the third consecutive year qualifiers are chosen by televote only.

In an instagram post by SRG SSR, Sylvester Belt announced he would be in attendance at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland to perform. In the video, Sylvester says “I really miss you guys, I hope you miss me too because I’m coming back to perform in Eurovision 2025.” With Eurovision 2025 kicking off next week, there have been numerous announcements of Eurovision alumni that will be returning to perform in Basel.

Marino Vrgoč, winner of the inaugural season of The Voice Kids Croatia, has been confirmed as Croatia’s representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Vrgoč earned his spot on the international stage after capturing Croatian audiences with his performances on The Voice Kids in late 2024. “I was very surprised when they told me,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it.” Croatia returns to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time since 2014.
