I would like to thank everybody for their patience and understanding during this time and for the way the surrounding community came together to offer support.

The Rampton Friendship Group has been running in the village for just over a year and meets once a month on a Wednesday.

The town is set to host its first-ever Eurovision pre-party at The Acorn Theatre on Monday, 14th April at 2pm, bringing a taste of Europe’s biggest music competition right to Nottinghamshire. The event, organised by local artist Kian Butler, will feature an exciting line-up of performers, including Emmy, Ireland’s representative for Eurovision 2025 in Basel.

Cllr Madelaine Richardson, Ward Member for Worksop North-East, donated the funding to Musicality Singers and Ryton Chorale as part of her Councillor Community Grant Allocation.

Bassetlaw District Council has been awarded £3.2 million to help to reduce carbon emissions from Worksop and Retford Leisure Centres in what could be the single largest carbon reduction project carried out by the council. The council has been successful in securing funding from the government's Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, which is contributing to the UK’s ambition to be ‘Net Zero’ by 2050.

Cllr Josie Potts and Cllr John Shephard, joint Ward Members for Worksop South East, have donated £1,050 through their Councillor Community Grant to buy and install a defibrillator and a heated cabinet at the Kingston Road Community Hub.

Bassetlaw District Council has awarded the building contract to Tilbury Douglas to transform the long vacant site on Newgate Street, which is owned by the council and will be leased to the NHS and operated by Newgate Medical Group.

A new sensory garden is being developed, designed by Timotay Playscapes featuring interactive play elements and a water feature, while gravel paths are being replaced with new Indian sandstone paving in keeping with the historic building.
