    3 1/1 Fears have been raised over the potential for anti-social behaviour after a village cafe applied to extend its opening hours to 11pm. The Farmhouse Bakery and Café, in Abingdon Road, Steventon, wants to extend its hours open from 6pm to 11pm, six days a week. On Sundays, the business has asked to close at 10pm. The cafe's bid will be decided by Vale of White Horse District Council's licensing acts panel on Friday, June 13.

    The Didcot and Wantage Flood Summit in East Hanney was attended by parish councils, local flood groups. the Environment Agency, county and district council officers, Thames Water, Network Rail and others with a role in flood prevention and mitigation. Didcot and Wantage MP Olly Glover was also in attendance.

    3 1/1 An Oxfordshire town has been described as 'being on its knees' as objections mount against plans for more than 350 homes nearby. Land promoter Hallam Land Management has sought outline planning permission for up to 370 houses on land at Peashell Farm, Downs Road, in Curbridge not far from Witney. The plans for the 58-acre site include a local retail store and "extensive new parkland" including a youth play area and allotments.

    Developer Hallam Land wants to build the homes off Holliers Crescent in Middle Barton. A previous scheme for 80 homes was refused by West Oxfordshire District Council in November 2023. The new development includes 50 per cent affordable homes as well as access roads, green infrastructure and drainage. The application has attracted 87 objections and four supporting comments. Barton Parish Council and Middle Barton Parish Council have also objected.
