Crooks, a native of Algona, Iowa, was one of the most dominant players in Iowa state high school basketball history.

    The 2024-25 Palm Beach County High School Sports Awards are happy to announce two-time World Series champion Mike Lowell as the guest speaker for its live event on May 28 at Palm Beach Convention Center. The show is produced with the support of Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Lowell won his first World Series with his hometown Miami Marlins in 2003, and earned his second ring with the Boston Red Sox in 2007.
