$2.5 Million will be going into Montana’s public access account in order to open up more Block Management ground for hunting access. Good news right? Well, yes and no…Montana, like the rest of us, can’t just print money so that $2.5 Million has to come from someplace and that someplace will be an increase in cost to the base hunting license for non-resident hunters. Right now the non-resident base hunting license cost is $15, but HB 145, signed into law by Gov.

Nice work to everyone who took the time to send your elected representatives a message, email or made a call to express your opposition to the proposed sale of 1.5 million acres of your public land in Nevada and Utah. That’s how “government of the people, by the people, for the people…,” is supposed to work and it appears that it has indeed done just that. That’s just how outlandish an act three Montana National Guardsmen pulled off last week outside of Big Timber, Montana. The three men in question, landed a Blackhawk helicopter on private land, jumped out and scooped up brown elk sheds worth thousands of dollars.
