HeadlinesHEAT & HUMIDITY CONTINUEDAILY AFTERNOON DOWNPOURSCOOLER & LESS HUMID NEXT WEEKToday was the sixth day in a row of 90°F temperatures in Indianapolis. When we reach 90°F on Thursday, it will only be the fourth time in nine years that the city has experienced consecutive 90°F days. The point is that while we encounter this heat almost every summer, this has been a prolonged period that we aren't used to seeing all that often. This evening, any downpours will fade with sunset.

HeadlinesHEAT ADVISORY THROUGH FRIDAYHEAT INDEX REMAINS NEAR 100° DURING PEAK HEATDAILY CHANCE OF DOWNPOURS EVERY AFTERNOONThe forecast remains in copy-and-paste mode, as not much will change in the next few days. We still have the heat, and each afternoon we will see downpours that flare up. It's a feast or famine situation with the rain: you either get heavy rain or no rain at all. This pattern will continue this evening before the storms fade away as the sun sets.

Unlike the past few evenings, however, there will be a chance of a few isolated storms. Aside from a light and spotty shower north & east of Indy this evening, most of us should remain dry. However, grab a jacket, as temperatures will only be in the low to mid-60s. @WRTV https://t.co/lchBWRd5sM

High pressure and the dry easterly wind look like they are continuing to win out on Race Day. The forecast continues to improve, with the rain chances shifting further west. It will still be cool, though, with high temperatures close to 70 degrees. https://t.co/SgY4asjkC0
