Our hearts go out to Vince Clarke of Erasure after the tragic passing of his wife, Tracy Hurley Martin. She posted on her Instagram page in February of 2022 that she had been diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer. This led to the cancellation of The 2022 Neon Tour with Erasure, and it was announced yesterday that she had passed away. In a Facebook post, Andy Bell of Erasure said, “There are no words.

This day-long concert features a bunch of great bands like Foreign Figures, Blindlove, future.exboyfriend, Junk Percussion Trio, and Old Ghost. The music starts at 2 PM and goes on until around 9 PM. The Mitten Durch Festival is a live music event to promote mental health awareness. Tickets are available here.

That hits a little closer to home than you’d like. For me, The Smiths were always more than just Johnny Marr’s guitars and Morrissey’s voice and lyrics. There was a very notable blend of their musicianship that was never replicated after the band split in 1987. Andy Rourke had style on the bass that combined perfectly with the music.
