The SCHSL high school boys lacrosse playoffs begin April 22 with the state championships set for May 2-3 at Irmo High School. Top players to watch include Lincoln Huskey and Parker Lamb (Boiling Springs), Jake Fowler and Cole Searfoss (Byrnes), and Hayden Smith and Jamison Porterfield (Dorman). Other notable players are Kai Smith and Hudson Medcalf (Eastside), Lincoln Oles and Will Wright (Greenville), Joseph Forbes (Hillcrest), and Hudson Cremmins and Aaron Humphrey (J.L. Mann).

Lincoln Huskey, quarterback of the Boiling Springs football team, tried lacrosse and became one the best players in the state. Huskey is the leading scorer for a team that went 6-0 in Class AAAAA District 2 and has plans for a deep run in the playoffs. Boiling Springs lacrosse coach Tanner Mills won a bet with his future wife five years ago when they were on their way to a restaurant. Mills bet they would see a kid playing lacrosse by himself, bouncing a ball against a brick wall.
