A Michigan elementary school generated lots of media buzz over its decision to celebrate “Special People Day” instead of Mother’s Day. School Board member Virginia Jeup confirmed in a social media post that Ferry Elementary School had replaced both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day with a more generic celebration. “Ferry Elementary has replaced its kindergarten Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations with an event now called ‘Special People Day,’ Jeup wrote on Facebook.

A McDonald’s in Fairfax County, Virginia will no longer allow anyone under the age of 21-years-old to dine inside the restaurant. Staffers at McDonald’s said teenagers repeatedly staged violent fights in the dining room. “It’s so bad out here,” one customer told DC News Now. “It’s like a jungle when the kids come out.”“These people in here trying to serve people, and they’re scared for their life,” another customer told radio station WTOP.

The gay pride flag is now the official flag of Boise, Idaho. Mayor Lauren McLean, a far-left Democrat, pushed the flag change in response to a new state law. That law regulates which flags local governments are allowed to display. Earlier this year, the Idaho legislature passed House Bill 96, banning government entities from displaying flags except local, state and federal.
