Miguel Vargas, Andrew Vaughn, and Luis Robert Jr. are all off to terrible starts. The Chicago White Sox offense is off to a terrible start. The Sox's bats rank at the bottom of the league in average, slugging percentage, and OPS. A big reason can be directed toward three hitters the White Sox are counting on to provide some damage in the lineup are off to terrible starts. Miguel Vargas, Andrew Vaughn, and Luis Robert Jr. are all hitting well south of .200.

The two will square off again at Fenway. Garrett Crochet stole the show in his return to Rate Field, but rookie Shane Smith showed the White Sox might not miss their former ace that much. You wonder if they can put on an encore at Fenway when they face off in round two today. Crochet nearly no-hit the Chicago White Sox last Sunday when he toed the rubber for the first time in Chicago in a different uniform. Smith was pretty good too.

He is no longer on the 40-man roster, but he has accepted going to Triple-A Charlotte. The Chicago White Sox just cannot bring themselves to completely part with controversial pitcher Mike Clevinger. He is officially off the 40-man roster after being designated for assignment on Wednesday. However, Clevinger will remain a part of the organization after clearing waivers and being outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte.

He is off to a great start in Charlotte while Andrew Vaughn is struggling mightily at the big-league level. The offense is in a terrible funk, and one reason is Andrew Vaughn is off to another slow start. A slow start is putting it nicely. The White Sox first baseman has a .138/.188/.262 slash line with a wRC+ of 27. To show you how bad his start has been, his current four-game hitting streak is how he got to those current numbers.

Now that Mike Clevinger is gone, these three players make sense to get cut next. The Chicago White Sox finally realized the error of their ways and designated Mike Clevinger for assignment. May he never be heard from again, or at least in a White Sox uniform. However, do not put it past this organization to outright him to Triple-A Charlotte once he clears waivers, and no team wants him again for the fourth time being available on the open market.

I would like it very much if the Bucks could win a playoff series. Maybe even four playoff series.

What’s crazy, the Diamondbacks still have to hit in the 9th.

I don’t even like the Cubs but this one is entertaining with all the home runs being hit. Everyone is hitting home runs.
