INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office have identified the suspect in a homicide that took place in Incline Village on April 10. WCSO identified the suspect as Manuel Lopez-Gomez. Following the identification, authorities distributed a description of Lopez-Gomez, his vehicle, and his last known direction of travel to surrounding law enforcement agencies. The California Highway Patrol located and stopped Lopez-Gomez in Kern County, California.

RENO, Nev. — The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County is providing free shuttle rides for attendees of Reno Earth Day at Idlewild Park on Saturday, April 19. The shuttle service will operate between Idlewild Park and the Washoe County Courthouse parking lot, with shuttles arriving approximately every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m."This is a great way to enjoy the event without having to worry about traffic or parking," said RTC Trip Reduction Specialist Scott Miklos.

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — The Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD) is set to commence Phase Three of the Madden Creek Water System Reconstruction Project, a significant step in its ongoing efforts to enhance drinking water reliability and fire suppression capabilities. Construction is slated to begin in late April and is expected to continue through Fall 2025. This phase will focus on upgrading the aging water infrastructure along the Highway 89 corridor in Homewood.
