Our opponents hosted an entertaining clash with Brackley Town on Tuesday night, as the Saints ran out 4-3 victors despite the fact that defender George Carline was forced to replace Jonny Maxted in net for the second half after the goalkeeper was sent off.

Wolves dropped into the relegation zone after a heavy defeat at St. James’ Park, after a brace from Alexander Isak and a finish from Anthony Gordon. It was a story of missed chances and defensive errors for Vitor Pereira’s side, who suffered a second successive defeat in the league after last Monday’s disappointment against Nottingham Forest.

    A fantastic away display from the Seals took all three points in Warwickshire as we blew away Leamington with four first-half goals. Charlie Caton, Tom Peers, Kurt Willoughby and Harrison Burke all netted before the break, before Will Shorrock grabbed a consolation late on for the Brakes. The Blues had an early opportunity through Iwan Murray who found space just outside the Leamington area but his half-volley flew over the bar.

    A fantastic performance in snowy Derbyshire earned the Seals three points and successive away wins. Charlie Caton grabbed a brace while Harrison Burke and Jack Bainbridge both netted one to claim a 4-2 victory which moved Calum McIntyre’s side up to sixth in the National League North. Caton had a couple of opportunities in quick succession early on but True Grant was equal to both in the Buxton net.

    The Blues travel to Buxton on Saturday for a return to league action after a 10 day hiatus, after the goalless draw with Southport on New Year’s Day. Our reverse fixture with the Bucks ended in a narrow defeat for Calum McIntyre’s side at the Deva Stadium in October, as Ethan Fitzhugh grabbed the only goal of the game in the 14th minute.
